My Dog, Update

Hello, I haven’t written in a while, but a lot has happened. Frangi is now 54 pounds; she is HUGE. It’s hard to imagine that she was once 12 pounds. If you can believe it she is 450% bigger! She looks huge, but really, she isn’t that big when she is wet.

She has really adapted well since we got her and now knows 9 tricks:

  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Heel
  • Go find it
  • Nose touch
  • Roll ever
  • High-five
  • Twirl
  • Come

I am currently trying to teach her to jump over my arm but it’s honestly a lost cause. If you have any suggestions on what trick I should teach her next, please comment!

Another big thing in Frangi’s life is her Yak-9 bone. If you have a dog, I really recommend it. It looks like a big block of Parmesan cheese.  The name is a pun so it’s easy to find on the internet.

A fun fact about Frangipani is her favorite food is SEAWEED🍙. We tested this out with steak on one side and seaweed on the other side and she chose the seaweed every time. If you have a pet, what is their favorite food? Also, what should my family dress Frangi up as for Halloween? Comment your ideas! Bye😛

Hello, this blog post is about the field trip that the 6th grade took to Hillside Park. At Hillside Park we were planting trees with Keep Durham Beautiful. It was a fun and eventful experience because group 2 got drenched when it started pouring rain. We planted trees in the now-beautified Hillside Park.  Did you know that Hillside Park used to have a school there? Anyway, the first step to planting our tree was choosing a spot. (You can see the spot my group chose, it is circled on the map. ) We sprinted as fast as we could to the 2nd closest spot. This turned out to be a good decision because we discovered that our hole was half dug!  We were making good progress when the sky split open and everything got drenched with rain. No one stopped, we just kept planting. When our tree was finally planted my groupmates named it the SSSHuskerdust after a ship they liked. That was our very exciting tree planting field trip. Please comment on any questions!

Snow Day!

Frangi’s First Snow Day

As you know from my other blog post, this is Frangipani, my 5-month-old golden retriever puppy. She is now fully vaccinated, yay, and can hang out with other dogs. This blog post is about Sunday morning when she put her paw in the snow for the first time! She found two new hobbies. One, eating snow, two, jumping off sleds while they are going down hills. We also made bagels, which led to exciting smells for Frangi. Thank you for reading! Please comment on what you did on the snow days🥳.

Frangipani

Hello, this is my dog Frangi. She is 4 months old and my favorite sibling. Frangi’s hobbies include eating sticks, leaves and pine cones. She is a little escape artist and already figured out how to open her gate even with a 50 pound weight blocking her path. She loves people and always wants to be part of the party. She is the best dog in the world😉. Love you Frangi😘. Please comment, photos of your pet/pets and if you don’t have a pet what would be your dream pet!

                                                                                 House Arrest by K.A. Holt

House Arrest by K.A. Holt is a beautiful book written in verse that talks about the challenges that take place after a big mistake.

The book starts with the main character stealing a wallet from a stranger.  As a repercussion, the main character is put on house arrest.  At home, the main character has a lot of problems, such as their father leaving their family and having a sick baby brother. This book is beautifully written, and you feel so much empathy for the main character.

I really enjoyed this book. I read this book because it is on the Battle of the Books list. I didn’t think I would enjoy it, but it is one of my favourite books. It is also a very fast read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5 stars
